So you want Porcelain Veneers?
Porcelain veneers can transform your entire smile without the need for invasive, expensive procedures. Veneers can last for up to a decade, so once they are properly placed, you won’t need to worry about the way that they look. These thin veneers are realistic-looking and comfortable. They are custom-made for each patient to deliver a high-quality, professional appearance.
Why would you want or need Porcelain Veneers?
You may want porcelain veneers if you’re tired of the way your teeth look. These veneers cover up tiny imperfections that you don’t want to deal with any longer. Some of the different issues that veneers can cover include:• Discoloration, yellowing and staining
- Chips and cracks
- Spaces and gaps between teeth
- Uneven teeth (some longer than others)
What makes you a good candidate for Porcelain Veneers?
Veneers are very easy to place and typically won’t require any anesthesia. You are a good candidate for the procedure if you’re an adult patient wanting to transform their smile. Before you can be fitted for veneers, we will perform an examination to determine if they’re right for you. Veneers are great for people who want a long-lasting and highly durable restorative option.
What can you expect when having Porcelain Veneers placed?
You’ll first come in and have the very front of your teeth buffed out. This buffing helps the teeth to adhere to the veneers better as well as prevents the veneers from looking too bulky. Impressions are taken to be used to create the actual veneers. Once the veneers have been made, you’ll come in and have them placed. Our doctor will carefully place the veneers so that they look natural and feel as comfortable as possible for you. You will be given instructions on how to care for your new veneers and what to expect when wearing them for years. After about a decade, you may need to have new porcelain veneers made for you.
